Craig and Tammy began promoting their first Christian concert in 2011 at their church, Cornerstone Baptist Church, with a former group from Beckie Simmons Agency called Crystal River at the Atkins Building in Champaign, Illinois in a space the church used for their Sunday morning services.  We were born many states apart but the Lord led us together. Craig was born and raised in in the Central Illinois area in the towns of Tolono, and Thomasboro where his parents Larry and Freda Warf still live. He works in Thomasboro as a Design Engineer for Altamont Company. Tammy was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida. She moved with her family after her father's job brought them to Champaign the summer before beginning her senior year in high school.  Her parents Robert and Ruth Phillips still remain in Champaign. We were marred on October 14, 1989 and celebrated 25 years of marriage that past October 2014.  We are parents of two wonderful adult children -- Our son William and daughter Victoria.  Being active members of our church, Cornerstone Baptist Church, we are involved in many different things from participating in the Praise team/band -- Craig plays drums and Tammy sings. Tammy, with Craig's assistance, serves as the church's Events Coordinator.   Our event planning experience helpfully partners along with what we do as promoters.

In December 2011, they were able to promote a Reunion Tour Concert in Urbana, Illinois with the award winning group The Crabb Family that formerly traveled together as a family group. The Crabb Family was traveling around the United States on the “Back to the Front Porch” tour. With the help of ticket sells, financial gifts from some wonderful people; T and C Promotions was able to bring a great concert to town. Due to Jason Crabb’s and the Crabb Family’s awards and Grammy nomination, they were able to get WCIA interested in the concert event. Joe Barlow from the WCIA afternoon show came and interviewed Jason Crabb and his family. A great news pieces which include footage from them practicing and interviews, was played during one of the afternoon broadcasts. Since the concert was in December, we were able incorporate Christmas songs in one half. Tammy was able to make a connection with the Air Force ROTC program from the University of Illinois; cadets from the university presented flags during one of the songs. It was a real neat experiences for anyone who attended the concert and even the cadets. With around 350 people in attendance that night, it was a memory that will last forever and not be forgotten.

We were able to kick-off Breast Cancer Awareness Month in September 2012, a month earlier than it is held, with a special Breast Cancer Awareness Concert event with our good friends Crystal River and the award winning group Jeff & Sheri Easter and their adult children that travel with them. It was a concert that raised $1156 in donations towards the American Cancer Society’s “Making Strides Against Cancer”! With Sheri Easter being a Breast Cancer Survivor herself, that type of concert was dear to her heart. Sheri was able to speak to Joe Barlow from WCIA about her cancer journey and that news piece was shared during one of WCIA’s news pieces during the Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October 2012. Craig and Tammy were excited to be able to promote a concert for a good cause while also promoting the type of music they love so much. Breast cancer hits close to home for Tammy’s family. She lost her paternal grandmother, to breast cancer when Tammy was only around 5 years old.

The Lord allowed us to begin great relationships in 2012 with a company that serves as an agency for many groups and singers in the Southern Gospel genre called The Harper Agency. We have been able to book and promote several concerts since beginning that journey.  Our first concert coming from Harper's many artists was in November 2012 with Brian Free and Assurance. Since then we have promoted three concerts with The Old Paths and Mark Trammell Quartet. One big highlight was when we promoted a special Good Friday Concert Event which consisted of music, a small sermon by Rev. Steve Diehl from our church, and a candlelight service to remember and show honor for what the Lord Jesus did for all of us. We have also included local performers in some concerts such as Deep Water Band from Mattoon, Illinois; and Mark and Pam Fisher from Springfield, who keep very busy traveling around Illinois.

We hope to keep forging on and building more great relationships so that we can possibly bring more great Southern Gospel Music to Champaign-Urbana and surrounding towns here in Illinois as the Lord leads, directs, and allows. We are praying for open doors and hearts to Southern Gospel music in Champaign-Urbana, and mostly we are praying that souls are saved through these concerts.
